Solo Batik Carnival

Solo Batik Carnival (SBC) is an annual event organized by the City of Surakarta to wear batik as the main ingredient of making costumes
. Participants create a carnival costume carnival with the theme that has been specified. The participants wore their own costumes and walking on the road Slamet Riyadi. This carnival is held every year in June since 2008.

Solo Batik Carnival (SBC) held again this year. As with previous years, the event is held six times this will be enlivened with batik carnival at the end of June. SBC committee  begin open enrollment participants, instructors, mentors and committee volunteers.

 SBC this year will be pure carnival, the participants showed off their costumes to march to the committee specified route, starting from City Hall on Jalan Sudirman, Jalan Slamet Riyadi and terminated at their new headquarters.All spectators are free to see the show's annual Solo.

SBC this year took the theme of the Bima Suci. In carnival, the Mayor is expected to be willing to be the mascot costume carnival Bima followed by other participants in accordance with the character of the Bima suci story. Carnival costumes will be divided into eight sub-themes. Each of these sub-themes enlivened least 20 carnival costume element that puts the puppet.
